Annie's 2nd Birthday Party

I put my OCD aside for the second year and had Annie's birthday party 5 whole days before her official birthday! GO ME!

We went big last year for birthday #1, and this year we kept it super low key and just had family and pizza + cake at our usual Sunday evening dinner at Grandma and Papa's house!

Annie's current favorite TV show is Muppet Babies sooooo duh!  Had to get her a Muppet Babies cake!  And she LOOOOOVED IT so much!

We enjoyed IMOS for dinner and the entire family -- both sides! -- were there to celebrate!  Annie had a blast running around and playing with her cousins...and aunts and uncles and grandparents!

Not the greatest video, as I was trying to take pics and video at the same time, but girlfriend LOVED her cake and singing to her!

Mike did a good job of blocking Annie from touching the flame...or cake!  HAHA!  She really was excited about it and tootled in with Grandma to watch her cut it!

What's funny is ALL of the cousins ended up coming in to watch the cake being cut so we got a few good pics of all 7 of them before they all dove in to the sugary goodness.

I think the cake was definitely Annie's (and heck, everyone's it seemed like!) favorite part!  Girlfriend devoured her slice!

After cake we did presents, and HOLY CHAOS!  The big kids wanted to help Annie unwrap allllll of her presents, so I was manning that and telling them to let Annie help open HER gifts and yeah, I didn't get to snap any pics of that chaos.  Oops.  I did get a few snaps afterwards of her enjoying her gifts!

She got some great stuff!  This cool Oball race track, a flamingo and a few other stuffed animals, a Belle doll, some new clothes, two new pairs of shoes (that she had to try on immediately!), and a few other things she just LOVED playing with right away!

Girlfriend had a wonderful birthday party and I cannot CANNOT believe she's going to be TWO on Thursday.  It's mind boggling and a bit sad too, because I've always had a newborn to distract me when each kid has turned two, and I don't have that this year...which makes it all the more bittersweet that my youngest babe here with us is turning two and I don't know if this will be the last Mooney kiddo to reach that milestone.  Man, ALL THE FEELS.

Okay, I'm stopping now before I derail this happy post into a sad one!  Annie girl, we love you so much and cannot wait to see all of the wonderful things year THREE has in store for you!
