IAPBP 2020 Image Competition

This is hands-down one of my most favorite and best birth images I've ever taken.  I don't know what it is about it -- the many layers of birth I guess -- but every where I've shared it it has blown up with engagement and likes and comments!

So I entered it into a few contests this year...and one of them, the International Association of Professional Birth Photographers, just released their results...and I WON!

I actually won the 'best in delivery' category for both the judge's and members' choice! WOOT!

I am super duper honored and so excited to have won -- and I truly just pinch myself each and every day that this is MY JOB and I get paid to do this!  So when something like this rolls around and I am recognized for that, it just feels so surreal.  I say it all of the time, but I really do have the best job in the whole wide world!

So excited to see what the rest of 2020 holds in store for me and what gets to come in front of my lens!  Forever and ever grateful to my amazing clients who allow me into their birth spaces to capture these incredible, once-in-a-lifetime moments for them.  I cannot wait to see what the rest of the year has in store!
